Fishing in Zul’Aman
Fishing in Zul’Aman – I haven’t tested this out too much…just a little today. But there are some new recipes that use some fish that can be easily caught in Zul’Aman. The cool thing is that the drop rate in ZA is pretty high, but it doesn’t require maxed fishing to do it.
A buddy of mine was leveling his fishing in Zangramarsh. He came to ZA and fished all the way up to 375. Why? Crescent-Tail Skullfish. Thottbot is showing the auction value for those fish at 2g 37s each! (I listed mine 10-stack for 3g…there was none out there!) It’s for a new recipe that gives +Spell Crit, and that’s the first time a food buff has done that, so it’ll probably be in demand. While I was checking out the price at Thottbot I also noticed that the “held in off-hand” trophy fish like Enormous Barbed Gill Trout and Huge Spotted Feltail are also used in high-end food. It used to be they were worthless..now they’re selling for over 2g each!
So what’s my point for you? If you haven’t leveled up fishing, do it in ZA once you’re high enough to fish there! If you ARE maxed, give it a try anyway! Those fish are hard to come by and valuable to folks with the new recipes who like the new buff.
If you can’t clear ZA yet, that’s ok. Just whisper someone who has been in and is saved to the instance. (It takes 5 players to open the gates.) If someone who is saved to the instance (or cleared it), invites you and converts your party of two to a raid, you can get into the instance. This will allow you in without having to have 5 players banging the gong together to open the gates. Watch out for the patrol, and make your way straight ahead to the little section of water and fish in the deep spot in the corner. You’ll be safe from the patrol once you’re down by the water.
Oh…and Lightning Eels are now selling well. If you fished, you remember those…the only thing they were good for was the vendor. Now they’re used for a rare recipe that gives you a buff that zaps your enemies occasionally. Good times.

WoW 100g in 20 minutes – Video
If you have a gathering profession and haven’t seen Cartographer Routes addon yet, you’re really missing out. With mining, I regularly make 60g in 20 minutes with that addon. That’s REGULARLY. Sometimes I make more. Watch this video by the MakeWowGold team to see how well the addon works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQIMPZ0LA5o
On the video the player actually made 100G in 20 minutes since he got lucky and got a Star of Elune. Think about it, the more herb/ore that you are able to hit in a certain time, the more likely to get something valuable like that. Again, here’s the instructions to how you install this addon:
1. Download the WoWAceUpdater http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater
2. Once you’ve installed it, you can choose which Ace addons you want. Choose and install:
* Cartographer* Cartographer Data* Cartographer Herbalism or Cartographer Mining or both, depending on your Professions* Cartographer Routes
3. Once in the game, you should see a small ‘Screw’ icon on your minimap. Click that and choose Cartographer from the list of addons (other Ace addons will appear if you have them installed).
4. Configure Herbalism/Mining to display how you want it. You’ll know it’s working correctly if you open your map and see a ton of ore/herb symbols all over the place. (Unless you’re in a city, obviously….then just chose a zone that should.)
5. Add and configure Routes from the Routes screen. I walk through that below. Before you do, I recommend you change the global setting of the Route size to the minimum (I think it’s 10). The default is like 35 and puts quite a thick line on your map that can actually block you from seeing the spawn points.
Routes:
1. From the configuration screen (which you get from clicking the Screw icon), choose Routes, Add.
2. Give your route a name. Start with something like “Netherstorm Ore All”.
3. Choose the zone of the map the route applies to. (ie: Netherstorm for the example)
4. Click the Data dropdown, and then check on all that you want to find. For now, let’s start with all of them (Fel Iron, Adamantite, Rich Adamantite, Khorium). If you can see your map, you’ll see that it basically draws a line from every spawn point to every other spawn point. Not very helpful. That’s why the next step is so important.
5. Optimize! I choose the ‘Extra Optimized’ option, and optimize in the fore-ground. (doing it in the background lets you keep playing WoW while it calculates the route…I just prefer to let it get the route done faster.)
TA-DA! You should have the most efficient (shortest) route that will circuit the map and hit every spawn point along the way! Now you can just fly along this route (you don’t have to stick exactly to it), and you will fly over every point on a given zone.

More Gold with Patch 2.3
At last the great 2.3 patch arrived not only giving giving us the wonderful stronghold of Zul’aman but also lots of quests and decrease in experience needed to level up between L20-60.
Add this feature to a leveling guide and You will be L70 in notime.
Furthermore patch 2.3 gives new opportunites in making more gold than before:
Enchanters – An existing enchant is now in high-demand…raise your prices accordingly! It used to be that Mages needed +Spirit gear to use during Evocation to get the most amount of mana back. 2.3 changed that to Int. So, the Enchant Weapon – Major Intellect (level 340, 2 Large Brilliant Shards, 10 Greater Planar Essences) will be in high demand. It drops from the Sunfury Researchers (.1% drop) in the Southeast corner of Netherstorm. Now is the time to gouge the market, while demand is peaked (tons of mages changing gear to Int Based). Happy selling!
As Blizzard changed the amount of experience awarded so that you can LEVEL FASTER. They don’t want people taking forever to get to 60 any more (probably in prep for Wrath of the Lich King next year, which will raise the level cap to 80). Having more than one high-level toon is an EXCELLENT way to make fast gold. The bad news is that this makes most of the leveling guides that are available no longer accurate. The good news is that the incredible Brian Kopp’s Guide is already updated and ready with 2.3 material.
New Cooking quests – There’s a new daily cooking quest available from The Rokk in Lower City, Shattrath. The quest requires 3 Warp Burgers and a Kaliri Wing. The Kaliri Wing is a quest item (very easy to get). The quest reward is 9g, so, depending on what’s going on with your server’s economy, either SELL WARP BURGERS for people who want to do the quest quickly (without having to go farm Warp Meat) or buy the burgers yourself if you’re a cook and it’s cheap enough to turn around and make 9g. (I got the kaliri wing on my first kill…the birds in Skettis that knock you off your mount drop them.)

One Way of Earning Gold after Patch 2.3
All wow:ers now eagerly await the 2.3 patch scheduled to go live Thuesday, November 13th.The Gods of Zul’aman is looks like a great dungeon to get our teeths into.
Now with the new patch there’s also many ways to make money for those who need.
There is a new recipe that’s going to become available: Spicy Hot TalbukRequires Level 65 Use: Restores 7500 health over 30 sec. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 20 Hit Rating and Spirit for 30 min.
That’s a nice +HIT buff. This is the first time that food gives a+HIT buff. This will allow players to get rid of some of the +HITgems they have and put better gems in. Which means that this food will be high in demand.
Right now Talbuk Venison makes some mediocre, not highly-sought-after food. But it will become a hot ticket item once this recipe becomes available.
Ways of cashing in?
1. Keep any talbuk venison you get for now. Stock up so you can sell it later at a nice price on the AH. (Personally I typically just vendor meat anyway…it’s not worth the hassle.)
2. List your meat on Tuesday as soon as you can log in, and list it HIGH. Push the market up for this item!
3. Shop for deals on the AH now. Track how much you’re paying for it. Use wowecon.com to find your server’s median price and buy it at or below that. You will especially want to do this on Monday night to clear out the supplies before Tuesday’s patch goes live.
4. Level your cooking. It requires level 325 to make. No word yet on where the recipe comes from, but it’s BOP, which makes me believe it’s from one of the Daily Cooking Quests that will be introduced in 2.3. Instead of selling the raw meat, if your cooking skill is high enough, go do the quests on day one and be one of the first folks to have the new recipe. Cook it up and price it very high on the AH.
5. Last but not least, if you’re on and bored, head to Nagrand and slaughter some talbuks. The highest concentration is in the north section, around the Laughing Skull Ruins. Farm some up between now and next week!
