Death Knight, the new and favourite class of all Wotlk fans will be undergoing changes for Patch 3.1. Yes, Patch 3.1 is available but incomplete. There are changes going on from time to time until the final Patch 3.1 is complete.

The changes might be for better or for worse. We still unsure which is good and which is not so good but overall, these changes are meant to enhance your game experience so let us hope that this patch is not going to be a problematic patch.

Let us take a look at the changes for Death Knight (this is as far as we know, there might be other changes).

1. Gargoyle and Unholy Blight have different talent positions. These two swapped the positions so Gargoyle’s damage increased but the runic power cost per time is decreased.

2. Petilence won’t cause damage anymore. It will be able to spread disease though. Blood Boil on the other hand is for general area attack.

3. Unbreakable armour can absorbs an amount of damage which increases when your armour increases. However, it doesn’t boosts the armour.

4. PVP talents will be much closer to the top of the trees so Blood and Unholy DK can access them.

5. Blood gorged is used for armour penetration rather than expertise.

6. Magic suppression and Blood of The North have reduced to 3 ranks for same benefits.

These are the changes, like it or not. Perhaps there will be more changes to DK specs or something else so we will have to wait for further changes announcement.

Ok, it is confirmed that Patch 3.1 is in the development process (hurray!).

With Patch 3.1 coming soon, there are more and more updates about the features. For one, check out the Ulduar bosses that will be around for testing.

The testing will be available on American realms and European realms. The selected realms are:

Hodir – Thursday night, February 26, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST.
Iron Council – Friday night, February 27, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST

Thorim – Friday night, February 27, starting at 7pm CET.
Freya – Friday night, February 28, starting at 7pm CET.

Make sure you set your clock to these time so that you can test the Ulduar bosses as well if you are in these realms. 

However, a word of caution. Things might change due to bugs, servers and patch status. Therefore, if something unexpected happened, don’t be disappointed. After all this is a test. 

According to Daelo,

There will be some testing available. We do plan on allowing for extended testing on Flame Leviathan, and possibly other bosses. We want encounter designers to be present during testing, which makes testing during some time zones difficult.

A word from Blizzard (this better be good):

To get to Hodir from the front of Ulduar, travel all the way through the exterior section headed straight until you teleport into the interior section. Go up the stairs, over the temporary bridge, then Hodir’s wing is to your right. The walls of his wing are ice covered and he’s at the end.
