Are you curious about the characters that are introduced in Diablo 3? Do you want to know some of them in order to help you choose the right Diablo 3 character? Here is an in-depth introduction and opportunity, from validgaming, to get to know some of the characters in Diablo 3.

	Witch Doctor

	Resource: Mana

	Mana is a regenerative resource. The Witch Doctor is the only character in the entire game that does not have a resource generating ability, or a free ability for those desperate times of “oom,” making mana conservation the key to success.

	Being the most unique character, the Witch Doctor is a hybrid crowd control, and summoner character that utilizes range to defeat his or her adversaries. Being the only character incapable of either closing or fleeing with some sort of dash/flash ability the Witch Doctor compensates with a large bag of tricks. Having a move speed buff, multiple forms of CC and the ability to summon walls of AI, it’s nigh impossible to reach the Witch Doctor to do a significant amount of damage.

	Pros:

	• High APM friendly. Using wise positioning and proper spell combinations can allow for a challenging but rewarding play style, especially in PvP

	• Balanced to have an above average damage output, utilizing both AoE and bouncing damage abilities. The Witch Doctor can utilize both sustainable damage and burst with proper mana conservation.

	• “Grasp of the Dead” is an AoE slow with an effect duration of 8 seconds, being as it only has a cooldown of 8 seconds this ability is chain-able.

	• Group buffs.

	Cons:

	• Without mana regeneration the Witch Doctor has no sustainable damage, making it a somewhat more item dependent class.

	• No Flash/Teleport/Dash ability to speak of.

	• Without the assistance of specific rune stones there are no innate life steal abilities, making it a somewhat vulnerable class in early levels.

	Wizard

	Resource: Arcane Power

	A highly regenerative resource that does not increase with level. The Wizard must balance his spells between “signature spells” and offensive spells to maximize DPS. Much like the rogue in WoW if you have a full, or empty energy bar you are doing it wrong.

	A very straight forward, old school wizard. He burns, freezes and electrocutes the unlucky. The people at Blizzard had to recycle some spells from prior installments but who can really blame them? They add a few twists to the older spells and give the Wizard a fresh spin. Signature spells cost no arcane power and do a decent amount of damage. Then of course there are the offensive spells that are your large bursts of damage and lastly utility, here you have your old elemental shields ie, ice, storm, and energy armors. Lastly the Archon ability. Luckily you don’t require two High Templar to use this one. For a short while your abilities are boosted both in effect and in damage. Though the animation for Archon has not been reveals I can only sit and mentally salivate over this one.

	Pros:

	• Spam-able abilities with no cost.

	• Both sustainable and burst damage.

	• Linear, single target, and AoE abilities

	• Teleport/Flash abilities

	• Several self buffs for unique situations.

	• Strong kiting abilities

	• Channeling spells have no initial cost or travel time.

	Cons:

	• Signature spells (free) are weak in comparison with other classes’ free spells.

	• Many of the abilities are delayed or channeled (no initial cost) making the Wizard a bit more difficult to effectively play in PvP

	• Without the assistance of specific rune stones there are no innate life steal abilities, making it a somewhat vulnerable class in early levels.

	• Not a durable class.

 Hello everyone, and welcome to Sanctuary! Below you will find the Known Issues list for our 1.0.1 patch. Please do not report bugs that you see on this list as we already know about them, and help out other players reporting bugs by referring them to this list. Thank you!

 SPOILER WARNING: If you have not yet completed Diablo III on Normal, some issues described in this list may include spoilers.

 Achievements

 The description of the Feat of Strength for “One of the Chosen” does not specifically state that it was granted to Closed Beta players, not all Beta players.

 The description of the achievement “Why'd It Have To Be Snakes?” is misleading.

 The description of the achievement “Crispy Critters” implies that all critters are found in one zone, but they are not. Good luck finding them!

 Auction House

 You cannot list equipped items that have been bought from a vendor.

 Battle.net

 It is possible to get ERROR 37 (The servers are busy, please try again) when logging in if the servers are under heavy stress. This error literally means that the servers are busy and that you should try again, so please try again in a minute or so!

 Very quickly entering, leaving, and switching chat channels over and over can cause a player from getting locked out of chat channels.

 It is possible for a friend to be on your friend's list with no name if that friend has a BattleTag but has never logged into Diablo III and is offline.

 Changing your account's Parental Controls while you are in Diablo III can disconnect you from Diablo III. Workaround: Exit Diablo III before changing Parental Controls.

 Combat

 Damage over time debuffs are not benefiting from items that grant crit chance.

 The resurrection animation speed is being calculated by the player's attack speed. It actually should be a set amount across all players.

 Environment

 Act 2 – Players who cast Town Portal while standing in a tar pit will cause the tar pit slowing debuff to stay on your character until you leave the game or manually walk into and out of a tar pit.

 Monsters

 The gold dropped from Treasure Goblins can be picked up by all members of the party. Items dropped by the Treasure Goblins are still individual player drops.

 It is possible for Champion-class monsters with the Waller affix to cast their walls at their location rather than at the player's location.

 Followers

 The total life for Followers is rounding incorrectly and is off by 1.

 Quests

 Act 1 – The Scoundrel can fail to appear if monsters are present at his spawn location at the start of the quest “The Broken Blade : Go to the Drowned Temple”.

 Workaround: Leave the game and create a new one, or don't kite monsters to Scoundrel' spawning area.

 Starter Edition

 When a Starter Edition character hits level 13, the experience bar will read 0/0. If the player upgrades, they will start a 0 experience towards level 14.

 Tools

 If the user has any connections configured in “Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings” and they're set to “Dial whenever a network connection is not present,” the install won't proceed past 10%.

 It is possible for your cinematics to stutter and not play well if you begin playing Diablo III immediately when reaching Yellow Data. Workaround: Exit Diablo III and fully patch your game. Your cinematics should play fine then.

 Compatibility

 Running programs that put an overlay over Diablo III (such as Mumble, Xfire, and MSI Afterburner) can cause Diablo III to crash. Use these overlays at your own risk.

 Mac

 The Restore Hero button does not become available after deleting a hero until leaving and returning to the Select Hero page.

 Game client window becomes unresponsive when a dialog box is opened in the background.

 A big part of what makes Diablo for us, or maybe more specifically Diablo III, is feeling like a total overpowered badass. It's entirely possible that what makes you feel overpowered is… in fact overpowered. We're not so dumb as to think there won't be someone that will find a build or co-op comp that we just didn't expect, and is able to take down Inferno due to an oversight, bug, 'creative use of game mechanics', or just a downright overpowered set of abilities. There are just too many skills, too many builds, too many possible comps, and too many players to believe we've been able to catch everything.

 Some of that is cool. Some of what makes a Diablo game is the idea (and fact) that you can kind of outsmart the game and break its mechanics. Unlike a game like World of Warcraft where the core design of the game is to create a balanced experience and every change funnels into that, Diablo III just doesn't take the same approach. We don't mind if there are some inconsistencies and emergent favorites, we'd rather have tons of customization than boil it all down for the sake of balance. With a purely co-op (and eventually non-competitive PvP environment) we have that luxury, whereas World of Warcraft does not.

 What we don't want to happen, and what we will absolutely work to patch and fix as quickly as possible, are the situations we simply can't predict that could trivialize parts of the game. There could be some build we never thought of that is super effective against a specific boss in Inferno, and we'll likely want to rein those situations in.

 I'm not personally worried about Inferno being too hard. People can complain all they want about that. I'm more worried about people focusing too specifically on clearing Inferno, someone beating it too quickly through cheesy tactics or bugs or broken OP builds, and everyone going nuts saying Inferno is clearly too easy (although they themselves will probably still be in Nightmare). People naturally want to focus on a competition of who can beat what first, or speed runs, or other time-based achievements, which is at odds with what the game is really all about (the item hunt).

 If your submission was successful, you'll see the “You've successfully redeemed your sigil!” message and should receive a confirmation email at the address entered. To earn all five hero sigils, repeat steps 3 – 7 for each class.

 We've recently become aware that playing Diablo III with the latest Catalyst 12.4 drivers for ATI cards may cause some visual artifacts for specific hardware configurations. This issue affects users of ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards under Windows Vista and Windows 7. ATI Radeon HD 4600, 4700, 4800, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series products are unaffected, as is Windows XP.

Imagine this. Same time next week, you’re already rolling in a max cap Diablo 3 character, pimped out with the best gear, swimming in an avalanche of gold and dominating in the auction houses.

Sounds far fetched? I think not.

In case you missed my previous email about a buddy of mine, Jonathan Bradley Smith who is so confident that he’s going to reach Level 60 in

5 days, I’d like to let you know on a little secret.

Jon has been MIA in the last few days, I just found out he’s holed up and in hibernation until Diablo 3 is launched on the 15th May at

12.01 am. He’s going to be well rested, he’s going to jump at it like a rabid dog and he’s going to level like his life depends on it.

For the last few days, in the few hours he’s awake, he’s been going through all the possible skill builds he’s going to use and how he’s going to work with it (depending on how the game is compared to the final beta version) to achieve optimum leveling speed. It’s like a scene from “A Beautiful Mind!”

And judging from his past results in other games, I’m confident that he’s going to knock the socks of Diablo himself in record time. Look, I’m usually not a betting man but if there were bets on, I’d say he’d be done in 4 days or less!

Imagine, someone finishing Super Mario 3 in 11 minutes (I think that should be a world record of some sort!)…

Level 99 in Diablo 2 in 5 days.

Level 60 in WoW in 8 days.

Yeah, you get the drift, Jon’s pretty close to being god like!

The thing is this, I never could understand how he leveled so quick until it finally dawned upon me. This guy’s like some computer genius-whiz kid-hardcore gamer all rolled into one. The way his mind works to sort out the best builds for whichever character, depending on style of play is just amazing.

He just stares at all the skills available, then sits down to work out which skills are best suited for different styles of play such as tanking, healing, etc and then mentally works out when they need to be swapped with the new skills made available.

And because with so many active and passive skills available and with the runes in play, there are 1000 combinations at Level 20 alone. And at 60, there are literally a million possible builds you could have in the game. Problem now is what do you equip and when?

That’s when Jon’s expertise comes in. With his Diablo 3 Speed guide, all the builds are going to be there, so that no matter what level you’re at, you’ll find the best build for you depending on the style of your play.

Want to check it out for yourself? Head on over to:

But yes, he knows Diablo 3 isn’t launched yet. So he’s going to have to offer a sweet deal on whatever he’s proposing right?

Hence, he’s decided to have a special offer for his guide for a limited time only whereby you can get it at a heavily discounted price (63% discount to be exact) from $97 to only $37.

When the game is live, you’ll see the guide updated before your very eyes, from text content to pictures and even HD videos. So you’ll be a ble to do everything he does, when he does it. And be at level 60 just as he hits it (perhaps a few minutes later than him but hey, that’s still pretty darned good!)

And if you decide you don’t like the guide for whatever the reason, you’re covered by his “Money Back Guarantee” whereby you’ll get a complete refund should you feel that Diablo 3 Speed isn’t the most amazing Diablo 3 guide you’ve ever set your eyes on so long as you let him know within 60 days. Not 60 minutes or 60 hours… but

60 DAYS.

Yup, you’ll never see an offer as good as this. And leveling to 60 in Diablo 3 isn’t going to get any easier than this. Don’t you think you finally deserve the chance to dominate in the game from the get go?

I know I’m not going let my chance of Diablo 3 domination sneak past me. Shouldn’t you do the same? Head on over to:

Rooting for you,

Tony Sanders

P.S – The guide is only going to be on offer until the 15th May (3 days) and after that it’s back to $97.
This is your last chance for Diablo 3 domination.

If you’re like me, you’re probably dying from anticapation waiting for Diablo III to be released on Tuesday. Even though it’s only days until the game comes out, it seems the closer we get the worse the wait seems. I’ve been searching for anything Diablo related to tide me over and that’s when I stumbled across Zygor’s Diablo III Guide.

I already know of Zygor from their kick ass World of Warcraft guides which were a lifesaver and totally changed the way I played that game. These new Diablo III guides look to be just as awesome. You get a complete walkthrough of the whole game from Act I to Act IV, guides for all five classes which tell you how to set your spells and make your characters as powerful as can be, how to optimize your followers to maximize damage and healing, and loads more – including a guide for obtaining all the achievements in the game.

	WoW gold making will teach you some basics about the gold making journey in the World of Warcraft.

	Getting Started

	The hardest step in your gold-making journey is going to be your first few steps. If you're continually low on cash, can't pay repairs, can't afford enchants and gems, or are just scraping by, you need to invest some time and effort into making gold. Generally speaking, gold-capped is reached through discipline and doing small tasks consistently over time. There are very few “get rich quick” schemes in life and there are very few in the World of Warcraft also. Every gold-making empire is built on doing small tasks consistently over time.

	I'll be assuming you're starting from scratch with no gold and no level-capped characters. If you have some character assets to start with, great! You're ahead of the game! But what if you don't? Well, the first step is to create some. Their race and class don't matter at this point. The point is that we need something to work with on our way to gold-cap.

	The Bank Alt

	One of your characters is going to function as the banker for your gold-making empire. While race and class don't matter a lot, you might consider races/classes that have speed-boosting abilities. Worgen have the racial Darkflight, which grants a running speed boost. Rogues, druids, shaman and mages all have some sort of speed boost. This will help save you some time while you run around the city. It's a minor advantage, however, so don't get too caught up on it.

	You'll want to level this character to at least level 5, then head to the capital city for your faction. Horde should ultimately end up in Orgrimmar, Alliance should end up in Stormwind. This will give you access to face-to-face deals with people in the future. There are also some low-level gold-making opportunities in these cities for this character to take advantage of.

	The Adventurer

	The second character is the one you're going to be using to adventure and make money out in the world. This might be an existing character, or it might be a new one. You'll use this character to complete quests, farm materials, level professions and generally be your “main” character. Pick a class and race that you enjoy playing. While there are some advantages for different races with different professions, they aren't so overwhelming that you need to worry about them now.

	Your First Steps to Gold Cap

	Now begins your journey to the gold-cap. Here are some things you should be doing with each character:

	Adventurer

 Your first priority is getting to max level. A mix of dungeons and questing will probably be the fastest, though questing will generally provide you with more gold along the way, which should be useful for you in the future.

 Don't buy upgrades. Nothing is so difficult while leveling that you'll need upgraded gear from the Auction House to overcome it. Questing and dungeon drops provide all the power you need. Don't buy enchants or gems (levels 60+). If your class has a glyph that will help you level faster, buy it if they are reasonably priced. However, you can always come back to this later when you have more gold.

 Buy upgraded bags. Every rule has an exception. The one upgrade you should purchase is bigger bags. Netherweave are a great bang for the buck at around 10 gold on many servers. If you don't have that, there are faction bags available from the capital cities (There are 6 bags in all for each faction, from each of the playable races). These bags are 2 gold once you reach revered, which you should do in no time while questing in their zones.

 Sell everything you get. Back when I was a guest writer for this blog, I wrote an article about how to optimize the gold-making process while leveling. You should read it. Most of that still applies today. One thing that's new since then, however, is Transmogrification (or mogging for short). Mogging allows people to change the look of their armor/weapons while keeping the stats of their high-level gear. So gear for a level 85 character can be made to look like a level 30 player if you wanted to. (Note: Control-Click gear to see what it looks like on your character to evaluate if it's worth selling) There's a big market for this gear, especially:

 Head, Shoulders, Chests, Legs, Hands, Feet, Cloaks and Waist slots. These are the visible pieces of armor.

 Weapons, especially if it has a more unique look to it.

 Anything black. Black boots might be worth 3-4 times as much as green boots with the same model.

 Headpieces that show the face while active.

 Learn a gathering profession. You can learn professions at level 5 from trainers in the capital cities or other locations around the world. I'd suggest mining and skinning, mostly because I find herbalism to be the most difficult to keep up with my level. Farm as you level and you can make some good gold.

 Pick up recipes from vendors as you find them. Generally speaking, if a vendor sells a recipe and it's not bind-on-pickup, you can sell it for a profit on the auction house. Send them to your banker for sale. WoW Confidential has a pretty comprehensive list of what's out there, though the page requires Internet Explorer to see it correctly. You can download the spreadsheet version of the list directly here.

	Banker

 Scan the Auction House. Get an addon like Auctioneer, Auctionator, or Trade Skill Master (I prefer Trade Skill Master with the automatic updates. Faid at Clockwork Riot has some great videos that go over how to use Trade Skill Master if you've never used it before. Your goal here is to look for good deals on items that are low-priced to purchase and resell for a higher profit. Much of my early gold-making success was built on flipping a small variety of items like low-level gems (Malachite, Citrine, etc.) for profit. The way to tell if something is underpriced is to have good auction data to work from, so scanning the auction house regularly (if you don't use the auto-update feature) is critical.

 Buy Low, Sell Normal. This post from 2009 is still applicable today and goes over the strategies to make this successful. As you look at the markets, you'll start to notice trends and get pretty good at flipping items. Snatch lists are going to be your friend here.

 Systematically sell your drops. Did you read that article I linked earlier? Read the part about using Trade Skill Master again. There's some work involved setting up the initial groups and systems, but once you do, you can re-use it for your next character that you level, and the one after that, and the one after that. You can easily make 10,000 gold on the way from level 1 to level 85 (or 90 in Mists of Pandaria) by just selling your drops. If it's green, blue or purple, chances are it has some value on the auction house.

 Check the capital city for goods to resell. The Gold Queen has a good overview of items and why this works. Again, if it's a recipe, or it has a limited quantity available (it's limited if there is a number in the bottom right corner of the icon), it's worth something on the Auction House. Find out which ones sell well on your server and focus on those things. These aren't big profit makers, but as you get started, they can help get you going quickly.

 There are few things you NEED to buy off the auction house to improve your character.

 Look at it this way: There's virtually nothing you can buy off the Auction House that you won't get an upgrade for through normal play. Every gold piece you spend on a BoE weapon or armor piece is a gold piece not saved toward truly good purchases.

 In BC, it wasn't really worth it for most classes to buy BOEs when first hitting the level cap. With Wrath of the Lich King, there are a few pieces worth investing in for a fresh level 80 character, depending on the class. Most of these are craftable, so you can usually save money by farming the materials or buying the materials and having a friend or guild member assemble them. Even if you have to advertise in /trade for a combine, you're gong to save money over simply buying crafted items in the Auction House. Know your class, and know what items are worth buying for it on hitting level 80.

 In Wrath of the Lich King, you really don't need to spend any money while leveling a character. You may want to spend a minimal amount of money every ten levels or so if you're skipping dungeons to power level, and your quest reward gear is out of date, but this should be kept to a minimum. From level 68-80, the Northrend quest rewards should be sufficient.

 If you're trying to save money, it's for those big ticket items, a flying mount, then an epic flying mount, those higher quality items mentioned above, materials to power level a crafting profession that will pay off with good perks.

 It's also OK to buy item enhancements and enchanting materials for your gear once you do start getting epics. Be sure to only buy the raw materials, and have someone else do the assembly from your guild or friends list. WoW is a social game, and among the benefits of socializing are the economic. (Just make sure that you give back as well! Whether by trading services for tradeskilling or just helping people with a quest or instance.)

 Here's a tip within a tip: Any time you're standing around a capitol city, say while in between battleground queues, go to the auction house and search for Netherweave Cloth. Buy all of the cloth that's listed for under 3g a stack, or 15s per piece.

 Now, make it all into stacks of Heavy Netherweave Bandages, which vendor for 3g per 10.

 See what I did there? I do this every day and make a small profit off of someone else's ignorance of the marketplace.

 What did I know that they didn't? One, I knew not to get crazy undercutting prices on the Auction House. Two, I knew that bandages vendor for more than raw cloth, and how much that price is.

 That's just one example of making a profit from price cutters. If you know the true market value of an item, you can often make a profit from speculation by buying and reselling underpriced goods.

 It's also important to know the worth of items when you're doing any kind of grinding. Ideally, you want to grind on the same mob over and over again, so that you get the same trash loot drops, which stacks save bag space, and make for less trips to a vendor, and more grinding uptime for the items you're actually farming. However, bags do tend to fill up.

 So, is that Brittle Horn worth more than that Dirt-Covered Fur? And is a stack of either worth more than the Stoppable Force? The vendor value of gray items can be significant, and if you need to clear bag space, it pays to know which grays have higher value than the others.

 For the Auction House, I highly recommend the Auctioneer UI Addon. It's been one of the most popular mods forever, and there's a good reason.

 Two guys reached the gold cap. How'd he do it? Playing the Auction House. Capital gainers do well in WoW, just like in real life, if they're smart.

 The first thing you need to make money on the Auction House, is Auctioneer. Don't leave home without it.

 Here are some more tips:

 Enchanting materials don't have listing fees. That means you get to ask a fair market price for them, and if some yutz comes along and undercuts you, you're out no money when the items get returned to your inbox.

 If you are constantly getting undercut, then either there is a glut on the market for your item, or you have misjudged the current going price for it. In general, I won't list a BoE blue or green more than twice in a row if I'm getting undercut. I'll wait a bit then relist one more time. After that, the sucker gets disenchanted. There's no point in letting the Auction House fees eat away at your profit, and enchanting mats always sell. For patterns, I just wait until there's a lull in the market, and post when I can get my asking price.

 The weekends are a busy time at the Auction House, and this can sometimes work for you and against you. In general, weekends are a good time to move big ticket stuff and a bad time to sell anything that can be easily gathered. Weekends are a good time to go bargain hunting, for a weekday resell.

 One way to outfox the undercutters is to put one of an item up that you know will be undercut. Price it a bit above the normal market value. Now the undercutters will come along, and they will price slightly below you. You now list the rest of your items at a reasonable market value slightly below the undercutters.

 When someone sorts their Auction House searches by price, the sort is based on the minimum bid. That means if you have a lower minimum bid, your item will show up first, even if your buyout price is higher. Of course, you don't want to take this too far: Never set a minimum bit at a price you aren't willing to sell an item for.

 In general, crafting supplies sell for more than the finished goods on the auction house, with few exceptions.

 Tip #4: Crafting Kind of Stinks

 Crafting professions should be taken for the benefit they provide your character first, and for their money-making potential last, if at all.

 The bottom line is in most cases, the raw materials sell for more than the finished goods. There is no value adding process in WoW, like in the real world. People will pay more for the raw materials so that they can reap the rewards of the top end crafted goods, than they will for finished goods.

 So, if you can sell your stacks of raw leather for more than your leather armor, why make the armor?

 However, some items are profitable. If you can buy the materials for significantly less than the finished goods sell for, you can make a profit.

 The main reason to level professions in Wrath of the Lich King is to reap the benefits of the various perks for each. These perks have been reworked extensively in Wrath of the Lich King, and this post on Wowhead has a very nice summary.

 My opinions and experience with the professions follows.

 Alchemy gives you two ways to make money, by selling your transmute cooldowns, and by creating various consumables.

 Alchemy has the advantage of being a fairly cheap crafting skill to level, though the perks are a bit weaker compared to some others in Lich King. Many of the potions are profitable, even at lower levels.

 All in all, it's a decent profession, though perhaps a bit middle of the road nowadays.

 If you buy the materials and manufacture your items, then you are engaging in speculation that could go either way. Many people will simply have a friend craft the item rather than paying AH markup.

 I rate Blacksmithing pretty low on gold making potential.

 One item you can make a bit of gold on is the Overcharged Capacitor, which is a recipe you get early and which is used in a quest in the Borean Tundra. It's also used in an Engineering specific quest.

 Engineering will do little to boost your performance in Lich King, but has some “fun” items now. I'm considering dropping it, but I'm going to wait until Ulduar is released in patch 3.1 to see if any changes are made to bring it up to par for raiding. If you're casual, and you're already invested in the profession, then keeping it to see how it shakes out is probably a good idea.

If you have spare enchanting mats, this is a viable way to make money. It's also nice to be able to make a little money now while leveling the profession.

 The best way to make gold with Enchanting is still to disenchant green and blue drops you get from normal questing or grinding, and sell the enchanting mats. Remember, these have no listing fee, so they're pretty profitable.

 You can also grind lower level instances and disenchant the drops. I was making about 100-150g per hour on my Druid by farming Scholomance solo over one weekend. It's not the fastest money, but somewhat fun. <<– The prices for old world materials have dropped somewhat. But, if you're farming old instances for fun, you can still make a fair amount on enchanting mats and cloth drops. These are perennial AH favorites.

 Tip #5: Gathering Professions Aren't Very Good Either

 The gathering professions (mining, herbalism) can be good money, but you MUST have an epic flying mount to compete.

 Lich King update: Nothing has really changed here, except for a spike in the prices of metals and herbs, and even leather, in Lich King. Part of this is due to new Death Knights power leveling professions, part is due to the introduction of Inscription, and part of it is because the new Leatherworking buff items are very nice.

 It seems like mining and herb nodes are much further apart in Outland than in Azeroth, and consequentially, you need to be FAST to beat the next guy to the node. If you've ever had an epic flier swoop in on a node you were riding for, you know what I mean.

 Update: While there are some zones where nodes are closer in Lich King, the same rule of thumb applies: You need epic flying speed to compete.

 Once you do have an epic flying mount, both mining and herbalism are very profitable, because crafting materials sell well.

 One note on mining: Check the price of the ORE on the Auction House before making bars of metal! Adamantite Ore often sells for more than the bars, because it can be Prospected by Jewel Crafters.

 In the case of Skinning, you don't have to worry about the epic flier so much. In fact, if you want to cut the competition, you can get a lot of leather by going into the Black Morass instance and farming the normal mobs inside. Update: In Lich King, leather prices are UP, Partly due to the new desirability of Leatherworking, and partly due to expansion inflation.

 All three professions can be profitable, with the caveat of mining and herbalism having a bit of unwanted competition.

 Miners and Skinners should use the Gatherer UI mod. It's invaluable in planning out your gathering routes.

 Tip #6: Grinding is the Best Gold per Hour (after the Auction House)

 Grinding mobs is a tried and true method of making money. You should look for mobs that sell items with a high value for the time spent on the auction house. Usually, this means farming one of the following:

1. Eternals
2. Cloth
3. Leather

 Generally Eternals are good money, but not as big as farming Primals was in Burning Crusade. In Wrath of the Lich King, Eternals are much more common than Primals were, and this cuts into profits.

 Generally, Eternal Fire sells for the most money. The elementals that drop them drop high value vendor loot and cash as well. The trick to farming Eternals is to find an area that's not overfarmed, and that's not easy. This will vary from server to server.

 Cloth prices are up in Wrath of the Lich King. Stacks of Frostweave Cloth were selling for as high as 40g a stack around launch, and have now seemed to stabilize around 20-30g a stack, usually on the lower end of things. It's a viable strategy to farm cloth for its own sake now.

 As noted in Leatherworking, raw leather sells well. If you have two gathering skills, Leatherworking is a nice addition. As noted before, Leather prices are even better in Lich King.

 Reputation items are for the most part OUT in Lich King, however, with patch 3.08, Relic of Ulduar can now be turned in for Sons of Hodir rep. If you don't have Inscription, you need that rep for your high end shoulder enchants, and there's no Sons of Hodir tabbard, so these things sell for quite a bit.

 Tip #7: Questing is a Fun Way to Make Some Gold

 There are two ways to make money questing.

 I'm not going to delete all the BC specific stuff at this time. However, you should ignore it, as doing level 70 quests at 80 yields a lot less gold than doing Northrend quests at 80, because the bonus gold is based off the amount of experience you would have earned for doing the quest at your current level, which isn't much. However, the same principle applies.

 If you refrain from spending gold on your way to level 80, you'll notice a substantial gain from questing and from either vendoring or disenchanting your quest rewards. There are also more dailies than ever.

 The first is to simply complete regular quests you didn't do prior to turning 70. If you do all of the quests in Netherstorm after hitting 70, that's about 2000 gold. I like to save Blade's Edge Mountains, Shadowmoon Valley, and Netherstorm. I don't go through and do all of the quests in one sitting after dinging, but go back to the zones when I'm bored with other gold making activities and knock a few quests out from one of the quest hubs.

 The second method is to do your Daily Quests. These involve everything from Cooking and Fishing dailies, to Dungeon and Heroic Dungeon dailies, to PVP and faction specific dailies. Basically, these are quests you can do over again once per day each, up to 25 total as of patch 2.4.

 The advantage here, besides the gold is that you can also gain faction with certain groups, which provide rewards including unique mounts and useful items.

	The WoW 20K Leveling was put together by a veteran World of Warcraft player – Gladiator Markco, which has been playing this game since the release. Investing all his WoW experience, he built quite a complete WoW gold guide. Currently, he works along with a team of pros at maintaining and updating this WoW gold guide.

	I know that 20K Leveling sounds like a leveling guide, but it’s a WoW gold making guide. The author had his reasons to name it like that, probably because he have a method to make 20K gold while you level your character. Anyway, I had to make this aspect clear, so I repeat – 20K Leveling is a WoW gold guide.

	Most of this guide is online, so once you complete a purchase, you will receive instant membership. However, some sections of the guide are downloadable PDFs, which you can even print if you want.

	This WoW gold guide is, as I said, a complete guide. It covers all the gold making aspects of the game and it is fully updated for Cataclysm. So, here are its main features:

 It covers 50 economic and Auction House money making strategies, starting with the Auction House basics to advance trading techniques. Two important addons will become your main tools while applying all the AH gold making methods;

 It teaches you how to take advantage of every opportunity to make gold while leveling up. Knowing all this, by the time you reach the level cap with your character, you will already have a at least 20-25k gold, being ready to gear up with the best epics for sale;

 It explains in-depth and shows how to work with 17 addons to make gold and to play your character at maximum efficiency in any situation;

 Covers the pure farming part, revealing 39 best farming spots in the game, for players that like the old fashioned way of making gold;

 It provides an excellent daily quests routine, which takes roughly 15 minutes per day to make a couple of hundred gold in cash;

 The crafting part also has a section reserved in the 20K Leveling Guide. This section shows the best combinations of professions, revealing multiple, very profitable gold making strategies, possible via gathering and crafting. 300 items and materials are discussed here, and their importance for the game supply and demand put into view;

 20K Leveling contains 2.5 hours of videos that will make every bit of information so much easier to understand and apply;

 It comes with FREE lifetime membership. You will never be asked to pay any monthly fees;

 This WoW gold guide is updated very often and all the updates are FREE. Regardless if there was a new patch or expansion, updates will never be late;

 It’s risk free – it comes with a 60-days money-back guarantee.

	After learning all the gold making lessons package and applying all the resources to make gold, you will be able to:

 Supply your whole raid with consumables and even expensive enchants like Landslide or Windwalk;

 Buy all the expensive mounts and get the Master flying skill for every alt;

 Gear up your characters with all the epic equipment that you can find at the Auction House;

 Maximize any crafting profession without even moving from a main city to farm any resource, in the shortest time possible;

 Complete dailies following the easiest route, but with the highest gold earnings;

 Buy raid or instance boosts from top guilds or arena boosts from gladiators, in case you don’t want to join a guild.

	What I like the most at this Cataclysm gold guide is the fact that it covers pretty much every aspect of gold making in the game. Farming, AH trading, daily quests, making gold while leveling, making gold with professions, it’s all there. This makes 20K Leveling a complete and solid gold making guide.

	Also, it stands out of the crowd with the 2,5 hours of video guides, which not many other gold guides provide. These will make everything more clear and easy to apply. Another aspect I really like is the fact that you will get free updates for life for any patch and even whole expansions. For example, the Cataclysm update was completely free to current owners. This is really cool!

	There aren’t many downsides regarding 20K Leveling since it’s a complete guide and covers all the gold making aspects of the game. The one I have to mention is that it relies on quite a few addons. If you’re one of the players that don’t like to use addons at all, you might not like it. But nowadays, World of Warcraft can’t be played efficient without addons.

	To conclude, I can say that 20K Leveling is a complete WoW gold guide. Its main gold making methods focus on Auction House trading, but it also covers farming, daily quests and gold making with professions. Provides videos and explains addons which will maximize your gold farming. More than that, it covers methods that fit to any class and any level. Combining all the gold making methods covered by this guide, any players will become a redutable gold farming machine.

	In the World of Warcraft, fortunes are made on patches and new expansions. Each new expansion and patch brings the opportunity for you to get gold-capped. Will you be the next in Mists of Pandaria?

	Now is the time to prepare! This series is about preparing for the next great gold rush in WoW: Mists of Pandaria!

	So we've talked about building up a stable of Alts to use in our gold-making enterprise and what sorts of professions (part 1, part 2) we might want to use on those Alts to maximize our gold production.

	This week, we look at what to stockpile and how much starting capital to keep on hand for the early expansion push.

	<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Stockpiling and Inflation

	<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

	The purpose of stockpiling is really to fight inflation. Inflation works like this: over time, products and materials become more expensive. This process is accelerated as more money enters the Warcraft economy from non-player sources such as Bind-on-Equip loot drops, daily quests, vendor buy-backs and plain old questing rewards.

	In other words, a stack of Elementium Ore might cost 50 gold. In Mists of Pandaria, that same stack of Elementium Ore might cost 70 gold. Or put another way, it takes 50 gold to buy a stack now, but 70 gold after Mists launches. Your gold is now worth “less” relative to the amount of Ore you can purchase.

	Stockpiling is a way to hedge our bets against inflation. If we convert 50 gold into a stack of Elementium Ore now, we can hold that ore and sell it for 70 gold later. If Elementium Ore rises in price, as in our example, we've increased the “value” of our gold.

	Of course, some items won't actually increase in value, but rather decrease. Consumables for Cataclysm Content (current flasks/potions) are likely to decrease in value, especially at the start of Mists.

	While some items will return to a profitable state, it will be at a much lower demand, meaning you'll sell some, but not as much as you do now.

	So what should we stockpile? Well, what's going to be more profitable in Mists than it currently is? Here are some thoughts:

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	Monk-Related Stuff

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	Anything that Monks might be interested in as they level should see a nice surge in prices as people start to roll Monks. Low-level PVP items for people twinking or leveling that way will be safe bets. Agility-based gear, especially for harder to fill slots like necks and rings will rise in price.

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	The Cataclysm-level green gear (you know, the stuff that drops from the Cataclysm zones, but can be equipped as low as level 77) will be worth a pretty penny as people rush to level 90 with their new Monks.

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	Profession Leveling Materials

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	Check a place like WoW Professions for suggested leveling paths for the production professions. Where are the bottlenecks? Find those areas where supply will be short for someone leveling their profession and sell those materials on the Auction House at a high premium.

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	Many people won't bother being patient, instead paying a premium to clear those bottlenecks. Also consider where the choke-points are for the Cataclysm level skill-ups. Finding enough Savage Leather to max my leatherworker was a pain. The problem will get worse once more people leave the 80-85 zones for good with Mists.

	Wrath and Burning Crusade era enchanting mats and raw materials (ore, herbs, leather) are also safe bets initially, tho prices may drop a bit as the monk-leveling crowd moves through those zones.

	Pets

	With the addition of Pet Battles, and nearly all pets becoming tradeable, pets will see a surge in value. This is perhaps the safest of all the investments, especially if you can secure some of the rarer pets, because people will want to use them for their pet battle teams. Watching for deals on these now and reselling post-launch should net you a nice profit.

	Starting Capital

	Of course, you don't want to spend all of your liquid gold on stockpiles. Materials for leveling your professions in the first few weeks will be expensive. If you have enough gold to be able to afford the early leveling process, you'll have a head start on selling the new enchants, gems, glyphs, etc.

	Without enough capital, you'll be caught on the outside looking in, watching as others make sales at obscene prices to the launch-rush crowd.

	It wouldn't be surprising to me if it cost 40,000 – 50,000 gold to level a profession like Jewelcrafting at launch. Any profession that relies on farmed materials (Jewelcrafting [Ore], Alchemy/Inscription [Herbs], Leatherworking [Leather]) will have higher starting costs than say Enchanting or Tailoring as gear drops and cloth can be farmed by everyone in dungeons and while questing. You'll be better off saving enough gold to level one profession to max than multiple professions to the halfway point.

<div style="color: #b45f06; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	The Wildcard

<div style="color: #b45f06; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="color: #b45f06; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="color: #b45f06; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="color: #b45f06; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
	There's a potential wildcard in play here, however. It was recently datamined that there will be a “Black Market” auction house. According to WoW Interface (which attended the press tour), this auction house will sell rare items to players via NPC auction.

	This could be the largest gold-sink we've seen to date in Warcraft, as players will be able to convert some of their fortunes into gear and other power upgrades, but instead of giving that money to another player, it will leave the economy completely. As money leaves the economy, our gold will actually become worth more. Watch in the coming weeks for more information from the Beta about this feature.
