On September 25, 2002, Blizzard flips the switch on the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. It's a pretty huge deal, and not just because it's the latest expansion to the game that recently turned six years old. Consider this a sort of What To Expect post.

First: The actual game launch. Blizzard's official launch event will be on September 25, 2012, just two weeks from now. There will be powerful music, epic dance competition, autographs from the development team, and many more. And, of course, you will walk out of there with a shiny copy of the fourth expansion, Mists of Pandaria.

Second: Rather than adding zones as they did with the previous expansions, Blizzard has decided to alter some of the existing zones. It doesn't just mean physical differences in the landscape. It means that various quests await for new players.I think we can all agree that it was long overdue. That said, it will be sad to see some of the lands that some of us spend quite a lot of time go away forever.

Third: There are two new playable races introduced in Mists of Pandaria: the Mond race and the Pandaren race. The Monk race is one of the coolest chracters in the fourth expansion because of its ability to use energy source to power basic abilities. On the other hand, the Pandaren race is anthropomorphic gian pandas that have a number of abilities that will truly surprise you.

Fourth: There are various levelling guides that can help and provide worthwhile detials on how to tackle and survive a quest.

I think those are the big bullet points this time around.

So let the countdown to Mists of Pandaria begin.
