As Wrath of The Lich King is approaching the release date line, the interest for WoW is again enormously high.

Additionally, when purchasing the expansion pack at Amazon, they are offering release-day delivery. It means that even if you place your order online, you will still get the item at the day of release, just some hours after the crowd standing in long lines outside the stores. Just be sure to read the details first.
So it is actually a good thing to buy the expansion online especially when it is released at midnight (that is if you’re not eager to be one of the first people to login). You can skip having to camp outdoor waiting for the release at the retail stores and you can get some good hours rest instead while waiting for the item to arrive by mid morning. Then take a free day from work or school to just play hardcore untill late hours. 
You will miss the first hours initial lagg when everyone logs in at once and instead ready to explore the new surroundings of WotlK with a rested mind and start leveling like mad.
