* Armory Update - The Armory has been updated to reflect the new dual spec feature that came with 3.1. It now displays both talent specs for characters who have bought dual spec and shows equipped glyphs for those talent specs. Ad this to some new buttons and some achievement statistics and you’ve got yourself a pretty nice looking updated app!
* Alternate Currency – Purchases made with alternate in-game currency (ie. badges, emblems, etc.) will now be refundable for two game hours after the purchase was made. This is new with 3.1 and has some conditions. You can read all the details in our blog posting on the subject.
* World First Yogg Saron Kill - We all knew that someone would down Yogg-Saron pretty quickly and the Euro guild Ensidia did just that less than 24 hours after the patch went live! The US guild Vodka was not far behind and they did manage to claim the first US kill. You can read all about it and see some pics by going to our blog.
* WoW PuG Helper - There are a number of sites that offer services to help you find and examine players when doing PuG’s. None of them have made it quite as easy as Zarkmark, though. The site allows you to rate anyone you come across in game and also allows PuGers a link to a character’s armory profile and quick access to the other people who have rated the player. There are not a lot of people using it now, but the more the better so go on over and check it out!
* Wowhead Releases New Talent Calc – Wowhead released a shiny new version of their talent calculator late last week. This release was well timed with 3.1 and has some neat features I was definitely expecting. To see a screenshot and read more about features click here.
* Free Playtime From Blizz – If you’re one of the many people who tried unsuccessfully to get into your server last week on patch day then you may have some free gametime coming to you! Blizzard announced this week that they will be giving one day of free gametime to all subscribers whose accounts were active and in good standing at the time of the patch’s release. Good one Blizzard…now if I can just figure out where to spend my 50 cents!
* Authenticators Are In - But only in the US for now. A few days ago Blizzard announced that the authenticators were back in the store and in no time the ones for the EU servers were sold out. If you’re on a US server and you wanna snag one you’d better do it quick before they’re gone!
* NetEase Takes The9′s Place - NetEase will be taking over operating the Wolrd of Warcraft in China.
