If you can complete all the holiday achievements throughout the year, you will be eligible to participate in the achievement known as What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been, which rewards you with a Violet Proto-Drake.

We will focus on Metzen in this edition.

First of all, you will need level 40 and above to participate in this achievement. It is pretty straight forward. You will have to complete the seasonal quest known as Metzen the Reindeer.

For Alliance, it begins and ends with Wulmort Jinglepocket in Ironforge.

As for the Horde, you will need to seek out Kaymard Copperpinch in Orgrimmar. Metzen is located in two places, and either faction can save Metzen in either location.

When you are in Tanaris, you will find the reindeer in a stable in the Lost Rigger Cove encampment. If you are in the Searing Gorge, you will be able to find Metzen hanging out with some Dark Iron Dwarves near the tunnel to Loch Modan.

In addition to the rewards for the quest, you will earn 500 reputation with the Steamwheedle Cartel. You can try to complete this when you are around level 40 but consider getting a group with you as you might die doing this.

Cooking has become a necessity for all characters. You can lay an entire feast for your own party and with the Dalaran cooking quests that has recipe rewards, cooking quests are getting much more interesting.

No more a few gold and mats a day as cooking has become a currency of its own. Therefore it is really useful to level up the cooking skills for your character. If you have a level 80 character, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be leveling the cooking skills. You might find it useful in the days to come.

Cooking is something to look forward rather than being just mundane and boring. You got to try it to believe it.

Most of the fans should be getting enough rest within these two days to await the day when they have to line up and maybe even camp outside the stores that offer midnight launch for Wrath of The Lich King.

While the fans waiting and anticipating the release, there has been some issues regarding GameStop midnight launching. Most GameStop branches are in malls and the malls are charging way to high for GameStop to pay in order for the mall to keep the door open after midnight.

However, rumours had it said that Activision Blizzard is paying the malls to remain open even after midnight all for the sake of the launching. This is rather serious because most of the fans and customers of GameStop have been told that they are going to be organising the midnight launching before the cancellation news came along.

Still, there is no evidence that strongly suggests that Blizzard is paying the malls but of course there is a high possibility that they are doing it in discreet because:

Additionally, when purchasing the expansion pack at Amazon, they are offering release-day delivery. It means that even if you place your order online, you will still get the item at the day of release, just some hours after the crowd standing in long lines outside the stores. Just be sure to read the details first.

So it is actually a good thing to buy the expansion online especially when it is released at midnight (that is if you’re not eager to be one of the first people to login).  You can skip having to camp outdoor waiting for the release at the retail stores and you can get some good hours rest instead while waiting for the item to arrive by mid morning. The bigger your fishing pole the better as this will give you an advantage. Listen instead to the Horde in this matter. ‘It takes a big one to catch a big one!’ It’s well known that the Horde like to catch really big fish which they use as an off-hand weapon.

So, fork out and buy a Strong Fishing pole, as this will give you a fishing advantage. It also comes in handy for beating any Murloc over the head with, should one wander by and disturb your concentration.

Now the products of fishing are- well fish. But not always, for as your skill advances your chances of catching the odd loot locker increases along with other items of use and value. The fish can be eaten raw, but provide better sustenance if cooked, greatly adding to the health and stamina qualities of the food. The smoking of Sagefish for example provides the food with Mana. Any surplus cooked fish can be sold in the Auction House or used to feed your pet.

Now it’s easy to level-up the fishing profession. Just find a body of water and cast your bobber. Within a few minutes you will have caught some fish and increased in level. With increasing experience, you will be able to fish more zones (higher zones require a higher skill in fishing) and catch a wider variety of fish. Many of these fish can be cooked (thus increasing your cooking skill) or eaten, and some are required as ingredients in alchemical recipes and thus in demand in the Auction House.

Remember, fishing is a way to earn Gold and you should explore more in the areas to expand your Gold making experience.

With the release of Wrath of The Lich King, those who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue their leveling in Inscription, as well as other professions, even beyond 375.
