Death Knight Quest Gear in Northrend
Since the arrival of the Death Knights sometime within the year, things were never the same in the World of Warcraft.
Nevertheless, they have been a very valuable contribution to the lineup of a party, guild, or raid group. With the new Dual Spec feature of the game, World of Warcraft has become a game of infinite variables. Majority of the Death Knight Hybrids go with Frost and Blood spec, with Frost adding up additional armor and Blood for some major DPS. However, builds alone cannot determine the total strength of your Death Knight.
A death knight’s gear is a crucial contribution to his strength and skills. Without it, he’s nothing but a second rate warrior wanting to dish damage like a Rogue or take hits like a Paladin. Northrend has a lot of quests specifically for Death Knights which give out their quest gears; gears which are only acquired through quest rewards.
Death knight quest gears in Northrend allow the Death Knight to have added stat bonuses that will prolong their survival as a tank or make them more brutal as a damager, or maybe both at the same time thanks to the Dual Spec feature.
These quest gears are essential when it comes to the early levels of the Death Knight around 55-70. By then, you’ll start looking for new gears. You won’t find anything or rarely anything inside the Auction House and you certainly won’t be seeing anyone shouting it out on the chat. Northrend has a major population of blacksmiths. I had a friend craft for me the Cobalt set, made entirely out of cobalt bars and all equipped at Level 70. This kind of gear is perfect for tanking during Instance runs, since they give out decent stamina bonuses.
From here on, you can pretty much do any quest to get decent gear for your death knight once you’re in Northrend. Just be sure to do the quests that you can do in a short amount of time with the best reward possible.

Avoid Aggro If You Are a Melee
an example of melee
It is very exciting to get Death Knight. While most people can get by without any problems but there are some other players that need help with their Death Knights. If you have a melee character as Death Knight, the most important thing is to avoid the Aggro.
It is because you need to avoid high damage or even death itself. The mob will crush you into pieces so be careful.
Important points you need to remember:
- Ranged characters pull off the tank when they have done 130% more threat than the tank.
- Melee characters pull off once they have achieved only 110% of the tank’s threat.
- When you pull an aggro as your previous self, either mage or hunter, you can bubble, slow the mob, feign, trap it or fear it.
- The mob will do everything to crush you when you are a melee character.
- Melee is extremely vulnerable to not only aggro, but also AoE effects
If you suffer from bad damages, the problem is your healer might put you at the end of the queue as it always does to melee characters. It is not always like this but most healers will put other characters in priority before melee so whether it is unfair or not, you be the judge. However, when it comes to your melee characters, it is advisable not to sustain bad damages or else you will need a very long time to heal.
