2.8 millions in the first 24 hours is definitely a record breaking event. Even The Burning Crusade can’t beat the new record. Of course, most WOW fans have been anticipating the release of this new expansion and everyone can’t wait to get hold of this expansion. 

Therefore, 2.8 millions of WOW fans got their copies within the first 24 hours and the numbers keep on increasing with no sign of stopping anytime from now. 

Wrath of The Lich King is indeed an excellent expansion and even though it is still new, but it won’t take a long time for the fans to master the game expansion. Finally, Wrath of The Lich King is available in the market (US and some other countries as well as the European countries who launched earlier) and there are a few breaking news:

First of all, if you are getting the expansion in GameStop, US, you might want to bring cash instead of using credit cards because of some issues regarding to credit cards usage. Otherwise, you will end up wasting your time the whole day at the store.

Secondly, Blizzard has given one extra day to play World of Warcraft because of the in game mail problems, forum issues and the downtime on the main site. It is not a very good situation for Blizzard as in conjunction with the release of the new expansion, more people are going to check it out.

Thirdly, there has been a bug in the Dark Knight’s creation. Although it is unsure of how this bug problem came to be, but there is a quick solution to that problem. You just need to create a new level 1 character on that server and then you can create your Dark Knight without any problems.

Last but not least, “Wrath of the Lich King will be playable at 9:00pm PST on all North American and Oceanic realms.”

This is perhaps the most important news of all, as so many people can’t wait to get their hands on the game.

With about an hour plus to go, you can feel the excitement bursting within you. If you search on the internet, you will be able to see pictures of people lining up waiting to buy the expansion.

It is definitely crazy out there and some of you have been lucky enough to get your copy by delivery and even 7-Eleven is selling the copies earlier than retail stores. However, even if you have the new expansion pack, you will still have to wait until the release before you can play it.

As such, we can all expect new realm on the US server starting tomorrow morning at Pacific time.

Once you have installed the expansion, you will need to log out and then log in again to make sure that the upgrade take place as it should be.
