With the recently announced new installment of the World of Warcraft (WoW), people are both excited and fearful. Clearly, excited to enjoy a whole bunch of adventures with the Pandaren race taking the lead but fearful with its simplicity and plan to try capturing the hearts of the base players as well as the casual ones. Fans are skeptic on how the game would turn out. Take for example the future change in the great gold making capabilities provided to each player when choosing the gold making profession.
The previous installments of WoW have shown that gold making abilities generate a higher increase in the character’s skill and gear. In fact, the best gold making professions in the franchise are Inscription in the Wrath of the Lich King and Jewelcrafting leading in Cataclysm. But with the impending level playing field seen on Blizzard’s plan set for Mist of Pandaria (MoP), even the gold making profession would be affected.
With MoP’s talent tree shouting off simplicity, fans are assuming that all glyphs and gems would definitely be receiving an overhaul. There might be a possibility of rare gems removal. The rare gems in the franchise are seen and believed to be powerful gems giving a high skill point to a player’s character. In the past it give a character an addition 40 – 50 points but has lessen to 10 and became so rare to find in Cataclysm. Now, with MoP being painted on as a simple installment, fans are fearful that this would cause a the rare gems to more very powerful and being less likely be found or lead to the gems’ total eradication. Either way, this would make the game less challenging with an easily played adventure.
Fans and analysts alike speculate and have added the release of Diablo III into the simplicity of MoP equation. Considering the long awaited release of the former Blizzard franchise kept fans waiting for so long that they would expect great adventures ahead. With that fans are speculating that Blizzard creates an easy version of WoW in order to make time to provide a well developed Diablo III in the year of the dragon. If such thing is true then the Wow economy would definitely have its own overhaul twist as well. Blizzard Entertainment should step up and prove all of the skeptics wrong with MoP or else they get to lose more and more WoW in the near future.
I highly recommend taking a look at the newly released version of Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide. It is truely one of the top wow leveling guides available today.
