Ever since the World of Warcraft (WoW) has started its entire franchise, secrets were revealed from the start that could pretty much answer every query of each and every WoW fan player. In fact, BlizzardCon hosts its epic presentation with regards to the new addition to the WoW game collection each year and it includes the new races, the dungeons and enemies, the main plot and main rivalries, not to mention the end bosses, of the game are quite introduced to the players. The players simply relive the story through their skills in playing and finishing the entire game. It is so simple, right? However, despite its simplicity, online game buffs still crave for its adventure and the fact that they have full control of the game gets them excited to play the game. But during the end of 2011, Blizzard Entertainment dons the entire new addition to the franchise with a bit of mystery.
Mist of Pandaria (MoP) enters the WoW scene with numerous speculations being thrown by both fans and WoW opponents alike. But needless to say, on top of such speculations, Blizzard Entertainment seems to be quite secretive about this new entry. During the BlizzardCon 2011, WoW creators simply introduced a new race, the Pandarens, the nine new dungeons and the 3 new raids. The latest revelations tell the tale of the Pandarens, their history and their wars. Here enters the tale of the Mogu as the main rivals of the Pandarens plus there are opposing groups such as the Sha, the invading Zandali Trolls and the Shado – Pan clan coming in and would definitely cause more trouble to the players. More groups mean more trouble to the way. This would be one hell of an adventure. However, with this huge groups trying to interfere the players’ goal, the game buffs find it hard to determine who would be the end – boss. This is where Blizzard Entertainment shadows MoP with mystery.
In the past expansions, players would automatically know who they would face last in the battlefield, despite the famous rivalries between Horde and Alliance. Take for example in the Burning Crusade, the end – bosses Kael’thas Sunstriderm Illidan Stormragea and Archimonde plus the secret twist of including Kil’jaeden in the list. The Wrath of the Lich King, was one of the most obvious expansions, literally puts the Lich King famously known as Arthas as the end boss of the game. Lastly, the recently well ended expansion, Cataclysm, brought the players a dish of Deathwing end boss finish.
Clearly, Blizzard try as much as possible provide information to their players and let them plan ahead their perfect strategic fighting course in order to complete the game ahead. But now, with MoP, they simply leave out a cliffhanger. The new expansion’s end bosses information was nowhere to be found. This proves that Blizzard Entertainment also loves a shroud of mystery that would keep their fans and new players hooked in craving for more information before MoP will be released during the second quarter of the year. A little bit of secret puts WoW on top of every forum topics and not letting the passion and fire of the game to die out.
