Blizzard had already announced their new expansion and possibly the last and tags it as Cataclysm. Since then, many players had been excited to know even a bit more on what is store for them under the said patch. Good thing Blizzard is slowly pouring out the details about the said item. Though the update is still not available, nonetheless it gives players a glimpse of what is to be expected.

Because Blizzard had been kind enough to share some secrets about Cataclysm and its expected turnout at the later part of the year, as a player we must be duly ready. Thus, to aid you with such preparedness here are the things any player should do in order to conclude that your WoW character is indeed ready when Cataclysm is here.

1. Reach the level 80 cap. It is already confirmed that Cataclysm will have another maximum level to reach and it is now 85. Another thing to consider is that reaching this new highest level would be extremely difficult. Thus to make your new journey a little bit hassle free as early as now make sure you reach the level 80 mark. At least by the time the update will be ready you only need to work your way hard from 80 to 85 and not a level or levels lower than the current maximum cap.

2. Stock the essentials. Another important thing to note so you won’t be left behind when Cataclysm is here is to gather and collect essential items. As much as possible you must have a good number of potions and flasks. The next update would be pretty difficult since there are new bosses with incomparable strength to deal with. Thus, in order for you to last under their hands, it is a must you have instant buffs and first aid kits to back you up.

3. Maximize your profession and skill levels. Having a profession is a good way for you to have an added asset as a player. Therefore, as you maximize your player level as well, maximize your profession and skills. Cataclysm will present a new profession and it will be directly intertwined to other professions as well. Thus, when you max out everything, you will have the luxury of time to proceed to another secondary level which will be essential in Cataclysm. Apart from that, you will also undergo new areas with rare items if you indulge yourself with the new profession at hand.

These are just some of my personal recommendations as to what you can do before Cataclysm. As much as possible you must be pretty ready with everything in order for you to somehow have an edge over the other players. Much more you will merely work just a few push compared if you are a low level player when Cataclysm sinks in.
