After months of anticipation and waiting, the World of Warcraft Patch 3.3 just went live last Wednesday, December 8 to be exact. Both gamers and enthusiasts around the world surely rejoiced for this last update in the Wrath of the Lich King saga. And this latest patch was then tagged as the “Fall of the Lich King”.
I am sure that everyone is pretty much excited on the new Cataclysm update that will be made available early next year. Before jumping on to that massive patch let us focus ourselves on 3.3. As a player, what can we possibly expect on this? Does this provide indeed a drastic change from the former? And what are the things we must anticipate on this patch?
• Icecrown Citadel. The 3.3 patch opened a new area to discover, the Icecrown which is the citadel of the Lich King. In here any aspiring players can now be able to fight Arthas, considered the Big Bad of Wrath. No wonder this new patch was named the fall of Lich King. Thus, are you up for the challenge? If so, better pack things up and prepare for such a final confrontation.

• Cross-realm dungeon finder. For that easy and quick access dedicated to five player parties, a dungeon finder is now here. This will eventually connect all realms in the battle group. This in turn will be an easier way for players to find what they refer to as dungeon group. Rewards are also available through the random option of the said dungeon finder.

• Improved user interface. This has been greatly improved for the benefit of new players. Though this might be a little different to existing players but then again navigation your way is still a breeze. There is already a quest tracking feature now called the quest log. This is also connected to the map in which a particular quest objective will be shown in accordance to the area. The map has already been divided into four panes, the left map, pane listing of active quests, pane listing with full quest text and the rewards pane.
• More changes and additions. There are in fact more things to look forward to patch 3.3. There a re new items and bonuses that provides 50 attack power or 29 spell power. You might also want to enjoy new achievements like “Glory of the Hero” and “Master Angler of Azeroth”. There’s already a weekly raid quests, new fishing derby, a first aid training and new enchant weapon.
The article may not suffice the whole changes that took place given the latest patch update. But nonetheless this is truly promising for new players who would want to seize the Wrath of the Lich King with all its glory until the next update. Thus, don’t hesitate in installing the patch 3.3 now.
